Experience in the field

A construction-minded approach to landscaping.

Wildwood Lawn & Landscapes is a locally owned landscape and outdoor construction company serving Wildwood, Eureka, Chesterfield, Ballwin, Ellisville and surrounding West St. Louis County communities.

About Wildwood

Outdoor improvements planned for the whole property.

We specialize in landscape renovations, landscape design and installation, retaining walls, drainage and grading solutions, excavation, hardscaping, concrete and complete outdoor improvements.

Our approach is simple: create outdoor spaces that look exceptional, function properly and are built with the long-term performance of the property in mind. Every site has its own grades, drainage patterns, soil, architecture, access and construction challenges. We consider those factors from the beginning so the finished work is both attractive and thoughtfully built.

Meet the owner

Joseph Diemer

15Years old when Joseph began working in professional tree care

Joseph’s experience in the green industry began at just 15 years old, working in professional tree care and helping build a local tree service. Those early years provided a hands-on education in trees, equipment, changing site conditions and demanding residential work.

Over the next four years, his interests expanded from tree care into landscape construction. Wanting to broaden his knowledge, Joseph went on to work for two of the region’s largest landscape companies, learning how professional operations approach estimating, project management, materials, equipment and production.

That experience shaped the philosophy behind Wildwood today: landscaping is not simply plants, mulch or stone. Grading, drainage, excavation, preparation, construction and planting all have to work together.

Joseph remains personally involved from the initial consultation and estimating through planning and construction. Clients have direct access to the person responsible for the project—creating clear communication and real accountability.

Built from the ground up

The company has grown alongside the work.

What began with smaller landscape projects has steadily evolved into a company increasingly focused on complete renovations and construction-oriented outdoor improvements.

A renovation may require grading. A retaining wall needs excavation, base preparation and drainage. A new landscape may combine specimen plants, natural stone, soil improvement, drainage and lawn restoration. Understanding those connections lets us approach the property as a whole.

What you don’t see matters

A beautiful project starts below the surface.

The finished landscape is what everyone sees. Some of the most important parts of a successful project are eventually hidden. Those details determine whether the work simply looks good at completion or continues to perform years later.
